ABOUT US

     State Disaster Response Force Uttar Pradesh has been raised with the objective of carrying out relief and rescue operations in a quick and effective manner during any natural, man-made disaster or emergencies.

State Disaster Response Force U.P. at a Glance:

     The headquarter of State Disaster Response Force Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is located at Village- Noornagar Bhadarsa, Police Station- Bijnor, Tehsil- Sarojni Nagar, District- Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh- 226002. It is located at a distance of 15 Km from Amausi Airport, 03 Km from Kisanpath, 13 Km from Mohanlalganj, 26 Km from Gomti Nagar and 22 Km from Charbagh Railway Station.
     Total 1029 posts have been created by the Uttar Pradesh government for 06 companies (01 Battalion) of this force. As a result presently 790 officers/employees are working in this force.

     This force mainly responds quickly to disasters like Flood, Earthquake, Road Accident, Train Accident, Fire, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Borewell. State Disaster Response Force Uttar Pradesh has various types of modern Equipment, such as 110 types of First Aid equipment, 68 types of Multifunctional equipment, 115 types of Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue equipment, 19 types of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) equipment, and 25 types of Flood equipments are available.
     Apart from the State Disaster Response Force Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, headquarters, the teams of this force are deployed at the Regional Response Centers (RRCs) in various districts of the state. These teams are established in three zones in the state, which are respectively in west zone at Bareilly and Moradabad districts, in the central zone at 35th BN PAC Lucknow and Etawah district and in the eastern zone at Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur districts.

Role of State Disaster Response Force U.P. in Disaster:-

  •      Staying organized in disaster prone areas and being prepared to deal with possible disaster.
  •      Removal of debris, evacuation of dead and injured persons in times of disaster.
  •      Enhancing the morale of the victims and affected people by giving first aid to the injured before the hospital.
  •      To deliver relief material to the disaster victims in collaboration with the local administration.
  •      Coordinating with the other units and organizations (Aapda Mitra/NCC/NSS) working in area of disaster management.
  •      Raising the morale of the victims.
  •      To conduct awareness campaign related to disaster from time to time by the State Disaster Response Force Uttar Pradesh.
  •      Training the Civil Police in Disaster Management.
